Chapels
There are several of these religious structures in Serradilla, including the chapels of San Antonio, Santa Catalina, Santa Ana and San Cristóbal.
Ermitas are small chapels generally located in rural surroundings, and which were built in honour of certain saints. A mass, and sometimes a pilgrimage, was dedicated to them on their saint day. In Serradilla, festivities are still held for Santa Catalina, San Antonio and San Cristóbal.
Remember
Santa Catalina day is when the most important pilgrimage in the municipality is celebrated. Residents go to the vicinity of the hermitage and spend the day in the countryside with their families while partaking in a range of activities and traditional games.
