Cruz de los Siglos (Cross of the Centuries)

This area offers spectacular panoramic views of the Monfragüe National Park mountains and the surrounding pastures. Additionally, one can fully appreciate the beautiful town centre of Serradilla, with its traditional fenced plots dotted all around.
The Cruz de los Siglos is a monument at the top of the Santa Catalina mountains, north of Serradilla. This granite cross was raised by the residents of Serradilla in 1901 to sanctify the location and commemorate the beginning of the 20th century.
This is a great point for the observation and photography of both the landscape and fauna – particularly birds, as one can easily and safely observe the flight of a multitude of large birds of prey from close by.
