During Holy Week, many tourists, residents and descendants of the town visit Serradilla, creating to a vibrant, festive atmosphere in the municipality.
The processional parades are a noteworthy element of the festivities. On Viernes de Dolores (the Friday before Palm Sunday), the famous procession of the lanterns is celebrated. On Palm Sunday the procession of the palms takes place, going from the Sanctuary of Christ to the parish. On Holy Wednesday is the procession of silence. Holy Thursday is the procession of the Nazarene and his illustrious mother La Virgen de la Soledad (the Virgin of Solitude).
On Good Friday, the Stations of the Cross takes place in the parish, and at night the procession of the Holy Burial, with the steps of Cristo de la Salud, Christ Reclining in the sepulchre, and the Virgen de los Dolores; both by the Royal Brotherhood of Vera Cruz. On Easter Sunday, the Risen Christ leaves the church along one street, while the passage of Our Lady of Joy in the Procession of the Encounter takes place in another. The two images greet each other upon arrival in the town square.
