The patron saint of the town, the Virgin of the Assumption, is celebrated on this day. A carving by Luis Salvador Carmona is on display in the Parish Church.
On the 5th, the novenas in her honour begin, and numerous flower offerings and Aurora rosaries adorn the carving in the days prior. It is worth noting the inclusion of this carving in the prestigious sacred art exhibition "Las Edades del Hombre" that was held in Plasencia (Cáceres) in 2022.
