The strategic location of the municipality between the Monfragüe mountain range and the Tagus River means that it features rugged terrain ideal for trail running, while the natural environment all around, and the wide range of paths and public roads, makes it the ideal entry point into Monfragüe.
The rise of this sport in Serradilla was driven by the Sports Club “4 Wolves and 3,000 Vultures”, which, with the help of hundreds of local residents and volunteer partners, created a large organisation that has hosted a number of events in the municipality, with participation by some of the best trail runners in the country.
The Club Deportivo '4 lobos y 3.000 buitres' of Serradilla annually holds a sporting event in this discipline that has become a regional benchmark.
